Vaccine Update: J&J resumes + Barton clinic today + All out of state students eligible 4/29

NVU Community:

Following are some important updates to vaccine eligibility to be aware of:

  • Vermont has now resumed use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Vermonters age 18 and older can register for clinics that offer the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
  • There is a  drive-through clinic being held today at the Barton Fairgrounds from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. People who attend this clinic will stay in their car. Someone will check you in, administer the vaccine, and ask you to wait for 15-30 minutes before leaving. Appointments are not required while supplies last.
  • All Vermont college students with a permanent residence outside of the state will be eligible to register starting on Thursday, April 29.
    • Please be mindful of the vaccination schedule for the two-dose vaccines before registering as there may not be time to complete it before the end of the semester.

*NVU will continue with current travel and household visitation policies through the end of the semester, regardless of any changes announced by the Governor. This includes testing, daily self-attestation, masking, distancing, no cross-household visitation, no travelling, and 7-day quarantine if you do travel with permission. This is necessary to get us to the finish line.*
