VSO’s ‘Made in Vermont’ Tour

Orchestra to perform on campus on Sept. 25

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra will visit Johnson State College on Friday, September 25, for its annual “Made in Vermont” tour. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on stage in the college’s Dibden Center for the Arts.

The program includes two Scandinavian miniatures by Sibelius and Grieg as well as Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major and Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor. Music director Jaime Laredo will solo in the Mozart piece and will be joined by concertmaster Katherine Winterstein for Bach. The program also includes the VSO’s traditional Vermont-themed world premiere, The Ferry Crossing, written by Jennifer Jolley.
