VSO’s ‘Made in Vermont’ Tour

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra will visit Johnson State College on Friday, September 25, for its annual “Made in Vermont” tour. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on stage in the college’s Dibden Center for the Arts.

The program includes two Scandinavian miniatures by Sibelius and Grieg as well as Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major and Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor. Music director Jaime Laredo will solo in the Mozart piece and will be joined by concertmaster Katherine Winterstein for Bach. The program also includes the VSO’s traditional Vermont-themed world premiere, The Ferry Crossing, written by Jennifer Jolley.

Tickets are $29 for adults, $25 for seniors and $10 for students and children under 18. Discounted tickets are available for Vermont State College faculty, staff and students. Purchase tickets online at http://www.flynntix.org, over the phone at 802-863-5966 or in person at the Dibden Box Office.
