Welcome home.
In Northern Vermont University-Johnson’s Office of Residence Life, we understand that your on-campus room or apartment is your home away from home. Our mission is to do everything we can to provide an inclusive living environment where everyone can feel safe and welcome. We do this through programs and activities offered by our residence hall live-in staff and by helping resolve floor and room conflicts.
Each residence hall floor has an undergraduate Resident Assistant, each residence hall has a Hall Advisor who supervises the building, and all students on campus are welcome to visit or contact the Office of Residence Life in Dewey Hall with questions or concerns. Parents are welcome to call the Office of Residence Life with any questions that arise.
We honor specific housing requests to the best of our ability, keeping in mind the finite supply of rooms and the high demand for certain living areas. New students are assigned to housing based on a first-apply, first-assigned principle except in the case of documented special needs. Any documentation should be submitted to Academic Support Services before it can be considered in support of a housing request.
Housing Assignments
Housing assignments and roommate information will be made available via our housing management system, ERezLife. It is possible to view housing assignments via Self Service, but please be aware that assignments are sometimes temporary as we work on them throughout the spring. Residential Life will send an email to all residential students once those assignments are finalized.
